  • Ely Market under the gaze of Ely Cathedral.<br /> The Cathedral is a magnificent building which looks out over all the Isle of Ely and can be seen for miles in any directioin as you approach the City.

  • Market days often have added attractions and this time it is a visitor from the Raptor Foundation (nr St Ives, Cambridgeshire) on a fund raising mission.
  • A view up the main aisle inside Ely Cathedral. <br /> Frankly I dont think that any photograph will ever do the Cathedral justice.<br /> it is just breathakingly beautiful inside.
  • This is a very modern interpretation of what I guess to be the path leading to the cross.<br /> It towers over the doorway to the Cathedral Gift Shop.<br /> Interesting that even on what was a very bleak day outside, the cross is illuminated (perhaps by artificial light?).
